Cooling and storage cells
Air humidification for the cooling and storage cells
To keep products good and fresh for longer, they are usually stored in cooling storage or storage cells. The shelf life can be extended considerably by using the right temperature.
However, during the cooling process, moisture is extracted from the room by the evaporator. This is because the surface temperature of the evaporator’s cooling block is below the condensation limit. The products stored in the cell will then release their moisture to the relatively dry air. This leads to weight loss and quality loss.
Extending your cooling storage with a humidification system can significantly increase product quality. The humidification system will replenish the moisture extracted by the evaporator in the air, which relieves your stored products.
